“Rockestra” strikes once again
Rock bands and the Manila Symphony Orchestra once again was a huge hit to the Filipino youth as they perform for “Rockestra II” at the Folk Arts Theatre. “Rockestra” blast off another massive explosion to the music industry. The fusion of Rock and Classic music mark another history on the music industry.
The event featured 6 of the best rock bands in the country today. Things heat up as 6cyclemind started to sang their version of Eraserhead’s “Alapaap”, followed by their original hit “I” and “Sandalan”.
Urbandub, led by Gabby Alipe, sang “City of Sleepless Heart”, “Safety in Numbers”, and their recent popular song “Endless a Silent Whisper”.
Hale conquered the stage with their song “Broken Sonnet”, “Tollgate”, and “The Day You said Goodnight”. Their song serenade women watching as they perform.
Other popular bands are Up Dharma Down, Itchyworms, and the Dawn. Jon Santos also performed as Armida-Siguion Macarena.
Rockestra was made possible with the help of Campus Radio 97.1, MTV Phil. Yehey.com, Manila Bulletin, Odyssey, Timezone, Philippine Star, Juicy Fruit, Sparkle and many more…
The event was a huge success for the music industry and for the Filipino people. Original Pilipino Music rises again for the new generation.
This is my first Feature Article in my journalism class….
*I’ve got 85% for this. It’s not easy huh… we had our journalism class at 7:30am to Professor Liana Barro. Prof. Barro came 8am and just told us to write an article of our chosen beat, and it will be submitted until 12 pm. The only time we could to it is in our break 10:30 to 12pm. It’s enough for me to pass on time than passing nothing and I’m so glad I made it. yeah*

Movie
spongie
The movie’s done once more
The mood sets in with the lights
Let’s wait for them to leave
I was never one for crowds
I look down on the floor
Everything’s undone
Yet we’ve been so much more
Than a full length feature
We long for escape
Let this memory take shape
For the heroes we often see
I don’t know if it’s me
Or the movie we’ve seen
I don’t remember
As well as i
Should
I stay so silent with your arms adjacent
And credits may soon roll away
You have my jacket on
Comfort in my warmth
I’m used to the cold
And I hope you’d agree
How this story should be
How I wish I could change the scenes
I’d write on the next page
An early coming age
For me to tell you
As well as I could
I stay so silent
with your arms adjacent
end credits may soon roll away
could I stay so silent with
your arms adjacent
the vagueness may soon come to light
should I stay so silent with your arms adjacent
as I play my part in our show
forever shall I be the ill-fated eye
forever must I be the one you confide to
forever must I be the pages you need
for you to write all your secrets that you hope I would keep
forever must drive you home late at night
after watching these films that seem to imitate life
forever must I be the opinion you seek
forever will I be the friend that you would keep
ang lufet talaga ng song na to....

Tuliro
frm sponge's new album
Labis akong nahuhumaling
Sabik sa bawat sandaling
Ika’y makapiling
Giliw, hayaang lumapit
‘wag mo na sanang ipagkait
mamalas ang langit
anung nadarama
tuwing nakikita kang dumarating
tuliro, ‘d malaman ang gagawin
at walang sinumang
makapipigil sa akin
at wala nang ibang
makapagbabago ng aking isip
sa’yo
wari’y ‘di ko na malimot
mga galaw
at kilos mo
sa aking pagtulog
at sa panaginip
ika’y mamalagi nang
‘di na muling malulumbay
sa aking paggising
anung nadarama
ngayong sa isip ko’y hindi ka maalis
tuliro, ‘di malaman ang gagawin
anung nadarama
ngayon at nandito ka sa’king tabi
tuliro, ‘di malaman ang gagawin
finally i have my own album of spongecola's transit!!
im so happy!!! i like all the songs... esp. MOVIE, TULIRO, and PASUBALI
